How long has ERC been in existence?
ERC was founded in 1920 as the American Plan Association of
Cleveland.
What is the average size of a member company?
The average size of an ERC member is around 200 employees.
However, ERC members range in size from just a few employees
to as many as 10,000.
What is ERC's mission?
The mission of ERC is to assist Northeast Ohio organizations
with the attraction, retention and motivation of great employees.
Why should a company join ERC?
ERC has become the best business investment in Northeast Ohio.

Does ERC compete with COSE or SHRM?
Absolutely not. As a matter of fact, the Council of Smaller
Enterprises, an affiliate of the Greater Cleveland Partnership,
is an ERC member. We support the missions of all Northeast
Ohio Chambers and all SHRM Chapters. Our focus is regional
(22 counties) and our services, programs and benefits assist
any size business in any industry. Our programs are very complimentary
to other regional economic development organizations and we
are proud that ERC is considered by many as the driver in
workforce attraction and retention.
