Training: Most Common Way to Develop High Potential Employees
CLEVELAND - January 6, 2009 - According to a recent study of Northeast Ohio employers conducted by ERC, most respondents cite training and workshops as the most common way in which they develop high potential employees, defined as employees with the most potential to move into higher roles within an organization. Training and workshops was the most common method of development among employers, more frequently used than other developmental activities including stretch assignments, mentoring, coaching, development planning, and assessments.

The results of the survey suggest that training and workshops is the chosen form of development among employers preparing high potential employees for future roles in their organizations and common practice in developing higher level skills.
