Holiday Gift-Giving Not Widespread Among Employers
CLEVELAND - December 15, 2009 - According to a recent survey of 89 employers conducted by ERC, many respondents (40%) appear to not provide employees with annual holiday gifts, but of those employers that do, some are either not planning to provide gifts this year (24%) or budgeting the same as prior years for gifts (27%). A few employers are budgeting less for holiday gifts than last year.

The results suggest that gift-giving is not widespread among employers in Northeast Ohio, however, of those organizations that do provide gifts to their employees, several continue to budget the same as last year.
