Many Employers Streamlining Payroll Processes
CLEVELAND - March 10, 2010 - According to a recent study published by ERC, many employers use payroll systems to help streamline payroll and make it more efficient. Nearly all employers of the 126 employers that responded to the survey use direct deposit (99%) and payroll systems (98%). Seventy percent of of respondents reported using a well-known national or local vendor as their payroll system.

In addition, some employers (39%) have also moved towards providing electronic pay stubs. Twenty-one percent of employers provide only electronic pay stubs while 18% of employers provide both electronic and paper pay stubs. In either case, organizations appear to be working towards eliminating the need for manual distribution of paper pay stubs.
