Some of the key areas of focus will be the business value of focusing on hiring top performers, how an organization’s recruiting process must change if you want to focus on finding top performers (and not average performers), working with difficult hiring managers (or management), identifying the competencies of success in a position, proactive attracting and sourcing recommendations, improving interviewing and assessment skills, and ensuring your closing, selling, and on-boarding techniques and skills help ensure a candidate/new hire stays with your company.
Recruiting is a process, and has 3 primary steps – Attract, Select, and Keep (to performers). However, there is also a step before you attract – the planning and organizational commitment that needs to occur prior to finding top performers.
Key Learning Points:
- Pre-attract – What does it mean?
- Attract – Seek and Find or Post and Hope
- Select – Using a Strategy
- Keep – The Top Performer You Just Recruited
