Training for Managers and Supervisors/Supervisory Series
- Supervisory Series I -- Today’s supervisors and managers deal with important responsibilities each day—understanding their role in the organization, communicating effectively, managing conflict, leading and working with teams, and employment law to name just a few. A breakdown in communication can cause massive losses to any organization. Through a combination of interpersonal skill-based sessions, this series addresses key areas supervisors and managers face, and how to get beyond them to build more productive and high performing workplaces.Click here for more information
- Supervisory Series II – This series, building on the skills learned through ERC’s Supervisory Series I, continues to give answers to the tough issues that supervisors face: leading change, problem solving strategies/conflict management, managing a multi-generational workforce, and performance management. - Communication Skills -- In this highly interactive workshop, individuals will learn how to improve their opportunities for successful relationships by sharing the right information, understanding others and their viewpoints, and creating an atmosphere of mutual respect. The course introduces the concept of how to communicate with credibility and confidence, handle difficult people and how to take positive steps to turning problem relationships around. Training for HR Professionals/HR University
- HR University – HR University is a comprehensive development course for Human Resource professionals. Whether you are new to the HR profession, or have been in the role for some time but with limited formal training, HR University helps you “put it all together.” Consisting of a five-day series, we kick off with a foundational Employment Law course that covers the basics you need to know, including the ADA, the FMLA, Hiring, Terminating, Harassment & Discrimination, and Employee Files. The remaining four sessions then concentrate on the other areas of your role, such as Compensation & Benefits, Staffing & Recruiting, Performance Management, and Employee Relations. ERC and SHRM members receive preferred pricing. Although we accept registrations by the session, the best rates are offered when you register for the series. - ADA and FMLA Training for HR professionals – A one-day workshop is offered several times each year for HR professionals to learn the basics of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and how these laws interact with Workers’ Compensation. Harassment Awareness and Prevention
- Harassment Awareness and Prevention for Managers and Supervisors – Harassment Awareness and Prevention for a supervisory audience is offered as part of our Supervisory Series I. Taught by an attorney, the final day of this five-part series, Employment Law for Supervisors, addresses the supervisors’ role in recognizing and responding to potential harassment issues, documentation basics, and the supervisor’s responsibility to protect your company and its employees.
