Description

Have the emerging leaders within your organization been identified?  Do they have the skills and knowledge needed to best represent your organization?  In this 3-part series, participants will learn tools to present themselves more effectively and enhance their contribution to the organization.  This series will identify professional etiquette in and out of the workplace, tactics for dealing with various generations and personalities, how to communicate professionally, the traits of a strong leader, and effective presentation techniques.

Regardless of their tenure with your organization, you’ve spent considerable time and money in the recruitment and development of your employees. Now let ERC have the difficult conversations to help them succeed and maximize your investment.

Series Line-up
Session One: Personalities, Generations and Communication
(August 19th, 9:00am – 12:00pm)    

  • How generational differences impact the workplace
  • Identifying interpersonal communication styles and verbal and non-verbal messages
  • Understanding social styles and dealing with difficulties encountered during communication
  • Session Two: The 24/7 Professional
    (August 26th, 9:00am – 12:00pm)

  • Professionalism in and out of the workplace
  • The ‘how to’ in style and etiquette
  • Building Networks/Building Relationships
  • Written Communication/Email Etiquette
  • Session Three: The Power of Presentation
    (September 2nd, 9:00am – 1:00pm)

  • How to create a presentation plan and use presentation tools effectively
  • The importance of knowing and being passionate about your content
  • The value of using less content for more impact
  • Special Keynote Lunch: Straight Talk on Leadership by Pat Perry

  • Traits of a strong leader
  • Leadership by Example: taking risks, selling ideas and creating a following
  • Expectations in today’s leadership roles
  • This program qualifies for 10 CPE Credit Hours.

    ERC Refund Policy
    Pre-registration and payment is required for all ERC programs. If a guest has registered and is unable to attend the program, they will be instructed to notify ERC’s training hotline immediately at 440/947-1300, training@ercnet.org. Based on the circumstances, one of the following accommodations will be made:

    1. We will invite them to send a substitute attendee. OR
    2. We will hold and apply their program payment to another ERC training program of their interest (or a later date for this program.) OR
    3. If neither of these accommodations will work, ERC will issue the guest a refund minus 15% administrative fee.
