Holiday Gift-Giving Not Widespread Among Employers

According to a recent survey of 89 employers conducted by ERC, many respondents (40%) appear to not provide employees with annual holiday gifts, but of those employers that do, some are either not planning to provide gifts this year (24%) or budgeting the same as prior years for gifts (27%).  A few employers are budgeting less for holiday gifts than last year. more...

Department Sizes & Organizational Structure Survey

How do your organization’s department sizes compare to those of other Northeast Ohio organizations that are of the same size and industry? Please click here to participate in our survey, the 2010 ERC Department Sizes & Organizational Structure Survey, open until January 15, 2010, which provides benchmark information on department size and issues pertaining to organizational structure – including managerial span of control and levels of reporting. Participating organizations receive the results for no cost when they are published in February.

Certified public accountants (in Ohio) are required to receive 120 hours of recertification credits every three years to maintain their CPA certification. Depending on the number of certification hours, this could equate to 5-10 continuing professional education (CPE) courses each year.
