Determining Employees Value to Your Organization Measuring performance may be a challenge for organizations this year. Some employers could find themselves using a performance measurement system that may not accurately measure what top performance looks like during a challenging economic year, particularly if performance and value of contributions has historically been determined by financial impact or the meeting of organizational, team and individual financial and budgetary goals. A Good Gamble There has been considerable coverage regarding Issue 3 – establishing Casino gambling at four major locations throughout the State of Ohio. I am all for Issue 3 and I hope it passes. We need the jobs in the State and the opportunity for a new revenue source for our region is encouraging. Sales Compensation & Practices Survey - Deadline is this Friday The 2009/2010 National Sales Compensation & Practices Survey collects compensation information on 21 sales positions spanning a full sales force including top sales executives, mid-level sales managers, sales representatives, and customer service personnel. The results of the survey will include information regarding how Northeast Ohio organizations' compensation, benefit, expense allowance, and incentive (bonus and commission) practices for sales employees. To participate in the survey, please click here and register as a new user. The deadline to complete this survey is this Friday, October 30th. Employees with the Most Potential You have them in your organization - some of your highest performers with lots of potential to move up in your organization. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) Poster On May 21, 2008, President George W. Bush signed The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) into law. The new law protects insurance policy holders and employees from discrimination based on genetic information. GINA will take effect on November 21, 2009. Download the new poster here.
