Marty Mordarski is the Director of Membership at ERC where he is responsible for the growth, retention, and satisfaction of ERC members. In addition, he provides direction over ERC’s compensation, benefits, and workplace studies of employers throughout Northeast Ohio. His team also assists organizations in conducting highly customized market studies and employee surveys, and is responsible for maintaining the largest and most comprehensive Human Resources library in Northeast Ohio. Through these services, ERC provides valuable pay and workplace information to assist employers in the attraction, retention, and motivation of great employees.

Additionally, Marty oversees the research and evaluation process for the NorthCoast 99, ERC’s nationally acclaimed program that annually identifies great workplaces in Northeast Ohio. Now in its 9th year, NorthCoast 99 has recognized over 300 organizations for their achievements in developing and
maintaining workplaces that support the attraction, retention, and motivation of top performers. Marty has broad experience in studying workplace trends and developing programs to better serve the needs of employers and employees. In 2003, he helped coordinate a landmark study of over 1,000 corporate websites regarding the effectiveness of their Online Career Centers. Based on the results, he assisted in the creation and launch of a new website that provided employers with free resources to help promote Northeast Ohio as a great place to live in work.

In July of 2007, Marty was named ERC’s Director of Membership after serving more than three years as its Manager of Workplace Research. In April of 2006 Marty was honored as one of the “Top 20 in their 20s” by Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine. He has been frequently cited and interviewed by media sources such as Inside Business Magazine, SBN Magazine, The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The News Herald, Crain’s Cleveland Business, and 90.3 WCPN ideastream regarding workplace research and practices. Marty was also a featured presenter at the 2005 Retain and Gain Conference at Lorain County Community College and the 2006 Cleveland HR
Star Conference, speaking on the topic of generational differences in the workplace. Marty received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management from Baldwin-Wallace College.
