Metrics Reported
The 2008 National HR Metrics Survey was conducted by twenty five (25) employers associations across the United States. Over 640 organizations participated by providing data for 12 metrics including:
- absence rate,
- benefit cost as a percentage of revenue,
- benefit cost as a percentage of total compensation,
- cost per hire,
- HR expense factor,
- profit per employee,
- revenue per employee,
- time to fill,
- total compensation as a percentage of revenue,
- turnover rate,
- turnover/replacement cost,
- and variable compensation as a percentage of total compensation.
Results are broken out by organization size, region, and industry.
